Adelaide’s fashion scene welcomes a sophisticated new player as CAMILLA AND MARC opens its first South Australian boutique at Burnside Village.

The highly anticipated arrival of the Australian luxury brand marks a new chapter in its national expansion, offering a destination where timeless design and elevated craftsmanship take centre stage.

Founded by sibling duo Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman in 2003, CAMILLA AND MARC has earned its place as one of Australia’s most respected fashion houses. With a focus on signature tailoring, premium fabrications, and a commitment to quiet confidence, the brand continues to redefine modern luxury for the contemporary woman.

Now, Adelaide joins the CAMILLA AND MARC community with a space designed to do more than showcase clothing, it’s a fully immersive experience that mirrors the brand’s ethos of intentional design, connection, and artistry.

Conceived by Freeman-Topper and Freeman in collaboration with long-time architectural partners Akin Atelier, the Burnside boutique invites visitors into a serene, tactile world that fuses minimalist architecture with a rich sense of texture and warmth.

“Each boutique we create is a true labour of love, designed with intention so our customer feels welcome, inspired, and completely at ease.

“Adelaide has such a unique sense of culture and community, it feels like the perfect home for our next boutique,” says Creative Director Camilla Freeman-Topper.

The boutique’s interior is inspired by the tones and textures of the Australian landscape. Walls are finished in MOMA, a lime-based plaster that mimics refined concrete, allowing garments to become the focal point. Custom lighting, soft muted tones, and carefully considered materiality create an atmosphere more akin to a contemporary art gallery than a traditional retail space.

Every detail within the space speaks to CAMILLA AND MARC’s reverence for design. Vintage Italian furniture and sculptural works are thoughtfully placed throughout, adding a sense of timelessness and history. A standout 1970s Cassina lounge chair, complete with original brown leather and tubular chrome framing, anchors the fitting room experience. In the lounge, mohair and aluminium sofas from the same era add textural depth and tactility.

A hand-carved rouge marble wall sculpture stands as a raw, textural centrepiece, while a limited-edition aluminium tile artwork plays with light and reflection, offering quiet moments of visual intrigue.

The arrival of CAMILLA AND MARC at Burnside Village reinforces Adelaide’s growing appetite for luxury and design-driven retail.

Surrounded by curated high-end fashion, exceptional dining, and lifestyle experiences, this new boutique promises to become a cornerstone of style in the city’s east.
