Mary’s Poppin is heading to the Adelaide Hills, and this time there’ll be drag queens, DJs and plenty of bubbles among the vines.

The team behind the iconic Adelaide East End nightclub has announced Poppin Corks, a brand-new event taking over Sidewood Estate on Saturday, February 27, 2027.

Running from 1pm until 8pm, the new daytime festival will bring the energy of Mary’s Poppin out of the nightclub and into the sunshine for an afternoon of drag performances, DJs, wine, cocktails and food.

And they’re bringing a huge cast along for the ride.

The first Poppin Corks line-up features Alison Xpress, Berri Juicy, Boystress, Brooke Seto, Cleo Taurus, Ellie Delight, Estelle, Eve Elle, Glitzy Von Jagger, Jules Harlow, Kane Enable, Luci Furr, Mihz, Minty Hydrangea, Miss Jackson, Tritri, Venti and Xai.

Drag shows will take place throughout the afternoon, while DJs will keep things moving from lunch through to sunset.

Guests can hit the dance floor, find a spot in one of the undercover areas or settle in with friends and a glass of Sidewood wine as the party moves from afternoon into evening.

For Mary’s Poppin owner and Poppin Corks founder Stephen Craddock, the event is about taking the community that has developed around Mary’s and putting it into a completely different environment.

“Marys has always been about the people who walk through our doors and the performers who make them feel at home,” Stephen says.

“Poppin Corks lets us bring that feeling out into the sunshine, with a glass of wine in hand and the whole afternoon ahead of us.”

This time, the team is swapping the East End for one of the Adelaide Hills’ best-known wine destinations, just 20 minutes from the city.

And for anyone wanting to make the winery experience a little more fabulous, there’s also a limited VIP offering.

VIP ticket holders will have access to private indoor and outdoor spaces, cabanas, a dedicated bar and private bathroom, while general admission will include undercover areas and seating throughout the event.

Transport has been considered too, with buses running between the city and Sidewood Estate so guests can enjoy the wine without worrying about getting home.

“Bring your friends, bring someone who’s never been to Marys, or come on your own and find your people,” Stephen says.

“We’ll have the drag, the music and the wine ready. All you need to do is turn up and make a day of it.”

Poppin Corks takes over Sidewood Estate on Saturday, February 27, 2027, from 1pm–8pm. Tickets are available through the Mary’s Poppin website.
