Noi Vietnamese Eatery celebrates seven years of serving modern Vietnamese food in Adelaide, marking an important milestone for the Nguyen family and the hospitality group that has since expanded to include the soon-to-open Modachau.

Since opening its doors seven years ago, Noi has built a loyal following around a simple philosophy, delivering food and hospitality that guests can rely on, while continuing to evolve.

That consistency has become the foundation for the Nguyen family’s approach to hospitality and has helped shape the venues that have followed.

For the family, Noi Vietnamese Eatery has always represented more than one restaurant. It was the starting point for a broader vision to create venues that feel approachable, welcoming and grounded in the flavours and traditions they know and love.

Over the past seven years, the group has continued to grow, with Ong Vietnamese Kitchen and Lemongrass Thai Bistro providing another expression of Vietnamese dining and the family now preparing to introduce its newest hospitality concept, Modachau to the hospitality scene.

Despite that growth, Noi remains central to the story. Earlier this year, the venue underwent a renovation, refreshing the space while retaining the familiarity and warmth that regular diners have come to know.

The investment reflects the family’s commitment to ensuring Noi continues to evolve with its audience rather than simply relying on its history.

The Nguyen family said the restaurant’s longevity had reinforced the importance of consistency in an industry that is constantly changing.

“The biggest lesson Noi has taught us is that people come back when they know they can rely on you.

“We focus on consistently delivering good food, genuine hospitality and an experience people want to return to. We’ve learned so much over the past seven years, and everything we’ve built since has been influenced by what Noi has taught us.

“Seven years later, we’re incredibly proud of what it has become and even more excited to take everything we’ve learned into Modachau,”Thy Nguyen said.

That philosophy has become a driving force behind the family’s growing hospitality portfolio. Rather than creating venues based purely on trends, the group has focused on building concepts designed to become part of their local dining communities.

The family says the principles behind Noi Vietnamese Eatery will remain central to the approach at Modachau, a clear identity, food people genuinely want to eat and hospitality that encourages guests to return.

Seven years on, Noi’s success also reflects the strength of family-run hospitality in Adelaide, with each project representing another stage in the Nguyen family’s evolution while maintaining the values that have remained consistent from the beginning.
