Prospect Hotel & Cellars has opened its doors filling a decades-long void in Prospect’s thriving hospitality scene.
The bustling stretch of Prospect Road, known for its vibrant café culture and diverse dining options, can now proudly boast a pub of its own, and it has already becoming a local favourite.
After years of whispers and speculation, business partners and hospitality veterans Marc Huber, Josh Voigt, and Dale Wostikow have brought their shared vision to life.
The trio’s collective expertise and passion for the industry have created a warm, welcoming and contemporary space that promises to become the beating heart of the community.
Prospect Hotel & Cellars is designed to cater to all tastes and occasions, accommodating around 170 patrons across multiple thoughtfully designed spaces including the bar, function room, alfresco and cellars.
The venue includes a main bar and dining room, a dedicated function area, an inviting alfresco section, and Prospect Cellars, a boutique bottle shop accessible from the rear car park, making it easy for locals to grab a bottle of their favourite drop on the go.
With the likes of Natasha Banhalmi of Snow Studio bringing the graphic design to life and Dave Lawson of Design People (DSGN PPL) for branding, Prospect Hotel & Cellars and it’s identity have struck gold with the local and wider community and this has translated from the venue to the menu.
The pub’s food menu is a balanced mix of comforting pub classics and elevated dishes, with options like Wagyu Scotch fillet, lamb backstrap, gourmet burgers, and even plant-based schnitzels. And, of course, there’s no shortage of local wines and cold beers on tap, perfect for winding down after a long day or catching up with friends over the weekend.
It’s hard to believe that Prospect has gone so long without a pub, especially considering the suburb’s growing reputation as a culinary hotspot. Until now, the nearest pub, the Empire Hotel in Kilburn, has been well beyond Prospect’s main stretch.
The opening of Prospect Hotel & Cellars adds another layer to the suburb’s already impressive hospitality landscape with the pub not only complementing favourites like Bottega Bandito and Anchovy Bandit and Sunny’s Shop, but elevates the local offering by providing a laid-back yet stylish spot for drinks, casual dining, and social gatherings.
Under the Good Prospects Group umbrella, the team across this project have already made their mark with popular venues like Bowden Cellars, Sideways Liquor and Adelaide Wine Markets.
This new venture signals their commitment to growing the inner-northern suburbs’ hospitality scene, and it is clear that the locals are more than ready for it.
