The Adelaide CBD is about to get a slice of New York magic with the opening of Cosmo’s Pizza Bar on Hindley Street.
Named after the one and only Cosmo Kramer, Cosmo’s embraces the philosophy “Here’s to feeling good all the time.”
The venue is set to be a fun and energetic space where great food, drinks, and nostalgia collide where the new bar and pizza joint will bring an irresistible combination of big, cheesy slices, quirky cocktails, and all the good vibes of a Seinfeld episode.
Opening alongside the Hindley St Music Hall, the venue is the brainchild of Josh Bartolo, an Adelaide local who has spent years abroad running hospitality venues of all kinds. However, it was his time in New York that changed everything.
“I instantly fell in love with everything about New York, especially their pizza. There was just something about those big slices, the fold, the oil dab, it’s not just amazing food, it’s an experience.
“Me and my mate, another Josh, are both 90s kids who grew up on Seinfeld, so when we started dreaming up this place, it just made sense to mix our love of New York, pizza, and the show into one venue,” Bartolo explains.
Visitors can expect classic New York-style pizza, with an array of toppings to satisfy any craving. And for those who love a great drink with their slice, there’ll be a thoughtfully curated wine and beer list, as the team will work closely with local South Australian suppliers to bring the best of both worlds, NY style, Adelaide heart.
The Hindley St Music Hall space already had a built-in pizza oven big enough for proper NY-style pizzas, making it the perfect home for Cosmo’s. A chance encounter it would seem that has panned out very well for the team.
With renovations underway, anticipation is building for what promises to be one of Adelaide’s most exciting new hospitality spots.
