For Lilli beauty has always been more than skin deep—it’s about confidence, self-expression, and staying ahead of the curve. As the founder of Fluffi Beauty & Brows, she has built a brand that resonates with makeup artists and beauty lovers alike. But her journey wasn’t just about launching a product, it was about creating something meaningful, something that truly worked, and something that felt authentically her.
Growing up in a hardworking Greek-Australian family, where ambition and resilience were second nature, Lilli knew the value of determination and hard work. Her parents, both born in Australia to Greek and Cypriot immigrants weren’t born into money, but they built their success from the ground up.
Her father juggled multiple jobs to fund his first business, Shades, Adelaide’s very first dedicated sunglasses store—before Sunglass Hut even existed. What started as a small store in the 1980s flourished because of relentless hard work, adaptability and a deep understanding of fashion trends.
Watching her parents navigate the challenges of business, Lilli learned that success didn’t come from following the “normal” path. Their parents hadn’t finished high school, yet they encouraged their children to chase their dreams as long as they worked hard and were passionate.
Straight out of high school, Lilli was drawn to the fast-paced world of beauty, working as a makeup artist and quickly becoming booked out months in advance. But despite her success, she struggled with work-life balance. That’s when she realised there was a gap in the beauty industry for products that weren’t just trendy but actually worked.
In 2018, after designing her own website, branding and product packaging and being ready to launch a lash product, something unexpected happened.
Lilli noticed a shift in beauty trends, clients were using soap to brush their brows so she set out to create a hypoallergenic, cruelty free, colourless brow soap.
At first, she made it in her own kitchen, pouring bulk ingredients into tins and labelling them with stickers from VistaPrint. She casually sold them at makeup appointments but word spread fast. One month before launching her lashes, she released the brow soap and it was sold out in 20 minutes. The demand was undeniable.
With the success of the first product, Lilli kept refining and expanding. In 2020, she officially launched Fluffi Beauty & Brows, and her Brow Build quickly became a staple in makeup kits across Australia. The product was a clear, strong-hold brow gel with a dense wand for effortless application, and it sold out in pre-sale within an hour.
Urban Outfitters took notice, reaching out to stock her products. With international interest growing, she expanded Fluffi Beauty beyond Australia, shipping to the UK and US in 2024.
Even as the business grows, Lilli remains hands-on. She’s constantly innovating, while maintaining Fluffi’s boutique appeal.
For Lilli, running a business is a constant balance of growth, self doubt and passion, especially when she feels the imposter syndrome creep in. So what is her goal?
Her goal? To continue creating game-changing beauty essentials that people can’t live without.
Four years into Fluffi Beauty & Brows, and she’s just getting started.
