After winning over Adelaide CBD diners with its modern take on Greek street food, Dino’s is entering its next chapter with the opening of a second venue in Lockleys, transforming the concept into a sophisticated all-day neighbourhood eatery where enjoying breakfast, lingering over lunch and indulging in shared dinners is all part of the experience.
Founded by restaurateur Andrew Papadakis and co-founder Giuseppe Nasti, Dino’s has built a loyal following on Hindley Street through its fresh Mediterranean flavours and is now showcasing its most impressive transformation yet.
Giuseppe Nasti brings his experience working in Michelin star restaurants across Europe and hatted Australian venues to the forefront with this project, designing a menu that introduces a smarter, casual dining experience to Henley Beach that encourages guests to slow down without compromising the quality and accessibility that has become synonymous with the brand.
Nasti believes this approach has allowed the team to create a destination tailored to Adelaide’s west and is especially looking forward to creating a bigger breakfast culture in the western suburbs.
“The city venue is designed for people on the move. It’s busy, energetic and perfect for a quick lunch or dinner before heading out.
“We wanted to create a venue where people can settle in over brunch, enjoy a relaxed lunch with friends, meet for coffee or spend the evening sharing great food and wine. Lockleys gives us the opportunity to do something completely different.
“We are entering a great time in business. Dino’s in the city has developed a sustainable business model and we are now in a position to add more forces to the business.
“I have always wanted to serve our customers breakfast and coffee. The Henley Beach venue will showcase our take on breakfast. It’s still unmistakably Dino’s, but it’s a more polished version of the brand,” Nasti said.
Diners will still find house favourites in the venue but the Lockleys kitchen will introduce a broader menu featuring a suite of breakfast inspired dishes like the meat lovers breakfast yiros with sausage and bacon, smashed avocado with zucchini fritters and lemon-infused blistered peas and spanakopita and tiropita as breakfast dishes that can also be enjoyed on location or as quick grab-and-go options.
The handcrafted Mediterranean-inspired menu also includes generous share platters, with dessert also becoming the hero of the menu.
“The Dinomisu was a creation of mine that is a love affair between kataifi and tiramisu. This hybrid dessert combines the greatest desserts together. It really stole my heart,” Nasti said.
Complementing the food is a carefully curated drinks list featuring Greek beers, premium South Australian wines, signature cocktails and a range of non-alcoholic options.
New business partner, Joseph Vaccaro joins the duo after enjoying three decades in Adelaide hospitality, including leadership roles at Chicco Palms and The Greek on Halifax. His passion for service and eye for detail will complement the stone benchtops, textured finishes and refined Mediterranean styling that ensures the venue feels elevated without losing the relaxed hospitality that defines Greek dining.
Dino’s Lockleys represents the evolution of a South Australian hospitality brand that continues to grow while remaining committed to generous hospitality, quality ingredients and creating places where people come together around great food.
